Here's yesterday and today's cookies. I'm gonna go back to watching movies on Netflix.
Wednesday: Candy Cane Cookies1 c. margarine
1 1/2 c. sugar
3 eggs
1 tsp vanilla or almond extract
3 1/2 c. flour
4 tsp baking powder
1 tsp baking soda
1/tsp salt
Cream margarine and add sugar gradually. Beat until light and fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each add. Stir in extract. Add flour, powder, soda and salt gradually to creamed mixture, stirring in by hand. Cover and chill overnight.
Preheat oven to 350. Take 1/3 of the dough and mix in red dye (I kinda just mush it in). Roll both red and white dough into snakes. Wrap together. Bake on cookies sheets lined with parchment paper 6-8 minutes.

Today: Apple and Spice Cookies2 c. flour
1 tsp cinnamon
1/2 c. shortening/margarine
1 c. chopped walnuts
1 tsp soda
1 tsp cloves
1 1/3 c. brown sugar
1 c. chopped apples
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp nutmeg
1/3 c. apple juice
Mix sugar, margarine and apple juice together till creamy. Stir in flour, soda, salt and spices until smooth. Stir in nuts and apples. Drop 2 inches apart on lightly greased (or parchment lined) sheet. Bake 6-8 min at 375.
