When I was a kid, and I wasn't winning a game (which was pretty often), I would fling the board across the room. Since no peices were on it anymore, it would automatically be a tie. I think this might be why my family still has an aversion to playing board games with me. That and the fear of being hit by a rogue pawn. While I know every democrat will shudder when they hear this, but I have to admit that I'm starting to really like Ralph Nader (both because of what he did, and because he was really really cute in the 60s). The charge that he lost Gore the election is ludicrous. If given the choice, many of the 92,000 people who voted for Nader (in Florida alone) would not have voted at all. To me, Nader symbolizes the hope that the government can be by the people, for the people again.
Since I was a kid, and everything usually was black and white when you're a kid, I always thought of the Clinton Era as the golden years. But the more I read about it, the more I think the two parties are IDENTICAL. In 2004, I felt like I had to choose the lesser of two evils. When did it come to that? Plus, that lesser let so many opportunities for rebuttal and for holding the "evil-er" accountable for his numerous and egregious mistakes. While it is exciting that the democrats now are so passionate about having a good and true candidate I have to agree with Jon Stewart, that they hold "49% of the vote and 3% of the power".
The fact is, democrats need to grow a pair. Plain and simple. I'm so sick and tired of our "game" being corrupted. There are too many cheaters. I think we need a new game. Thomas Jefferson said, "the tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants". I don't think we need to take this literally, but can't we go back to actually following the constitution?

Ralph Nader did more for America as a private citizen than most presidents! He gave us seatbelts and food regulations and safe water. He showed the government (and the country) that the citizen can still have a voice!
Let's start over. Let's have someone who takes no money from big corporations. The rich have money, stop giving them more! We can rebuild, faster better stronger. What's stopping us from flinging the game of politics across the room?
